Data controller

Poperinge Metal Construction nv (“PMC”) is responsible for the processing of personal data through this website, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What data do we process?

When you use our contact form, we process the data you enter yourself: name, company, email address, phone number, city, your message and any attached files, such as drawings or a CV. The fields marked * are needed to handle your request. Our server also records technical data (IP address, time) to protect the website against abuse.

Purpose and legal basis

We use your data solely to answer your request, prepare a quotation and follow up on any cooperation. The legal basis is taking pre-contractual steps at your request and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries. We process the technical data on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the website secure. Application data is used only for the selection procedure. We do not make automated decisions and do not create profiles.

Retention

Requests that do not lead to cooperation are kept for a maximum of 2 years after our last contact. Job applications are kept for a maximum of 1 year after the end of the selection procedure. Customer data is kept for as long as necessary for the cooperation and our legal (accounting) obligations.

Sharing data

We never sell your data. Within the JONCKHEERE group we may share your request with a sister company if it (co-)executes the project. Our IT and hosting partners only process data on our behalf: the website is hosted by a provider in the EU and email runs on Microsoft 365. Microsoft in principle processes this data within the EU. Where data is nevertheless processed outside the European Economic Area, appropriate safeguards apply, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

Cookies

This website does not set any cookies of its own and does not use tracking or advertising cookies. The map on the contact page comes from OpenStreetMap and is only loaded after you click “Load map”. From that moment OpenStreetMap receives your IP address and may set its own technical cookies (see the OpenStreetMap Foundation privacy policy). Should we use analytics cookies in the future, we will ask for your consent first.

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your data and to object to its processing. Contact us at pmc@jonckheeresub.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (dataprotectionauthority.be).
