In Poperinge since 1991
Poperinge Metal Construction was founded at the end of 1990. In 1991 Jonckheere’s light sheet metal work moved to Poperinge. Today 30 people work here, in a 7,000 m² covered workshop.
What we make
Laser-cut and bent sheet metal parts, welded frames, covers and enclosures, and structures up to 2 tonnes. Preferably in series. Our customers are in rail, offshore wind, energy, transport, construction and professional kitchens.
How we work
We keep communication direct. You call or email someone who knows your part, and if something is not right, you hear it straight away. We measure quality; we do not assume it.
The group
PMC is one of the three sites of JONCKHEERE, a Belgian company that started with carriages in 1881 and has been owned by the Schodts family since 1997. Anything heavier or bigger we make together with Roeselare and Košice. In 2024 we invested in a new 12 kW fibre laser in Poperinge.
